Jacqueline Dolce-Bettati

Born in Haiti, Jacqueline immigrated to Canada in the fall of 1965.

She was first established in Quebec City, then continued her career in Montreal. For over thirty years, she worked as a nurse and did so with passion: (medical-surgical, intensive care and emergencies.

Her career was suddenly interrupted by an unfortunate accident. Although it is this event that has forced the graduate nurse to retire, it is also this fall that allowed Jacqueline discover her passion for painting. In the context of her treatment with occupational therapy, on the advice of a friend Painter, Professor Ezio Ciccarelli since then deceased, she starts at Michelangelo School Of Art in 2003 and discover the fascinating world of painting.

She uses oil as her medium.

With pleasure, the oil allows her to play, be creative with colors, beyond flowers and plants from here and elsewhere which represent her work.

Holiday photographs taken at random, are her preferred pastime and fast becoming her main sources of inspiration. Mix of reality and imagination in a figurative style a tad impressionistic gives her a lot of fun and relaxation. She enjoys watching the sky, where all forms and all colors are allowed. There is neither true nor false.

She wants to share the joy, tenderness and wonder that that lie within us all.
