Martine Craig
Painter

In 1982 during the noon-workshops of the Professor of History of Art: Robert Tynan CEGEP Champlain St. Lawrence, Martine Craig was introduced to the technique of bi-dimensional painting with acrylics. His first painting was a reproduction of Renoir.

While studying pharmacy at university, she took courses in charcoal and has crafted costumes for performances of flamenco and dance numbers. We can say there has always been a continuity in the expression of her artistic creativity. Recently she explored the technique of mixed media in a course taught by artist Lisa Boilard Rosemère and her paintings were shown at the Hamilton House and exposed at Rosemere Artists Gathering at Maison Governor in Old Montreal, at Laval University in Ste-Foy, Quebec. In addition, she painted among the artists of the Symposium on Flower Road in Ste-Dorothée in May 2010.

In the context of her paintings (landscapes, portraits, abstractions and reproductions), Martine Craig tries to optimally exploit the richness and brilliance of colors.
