Mario Daou
Painter

Mario Daou was born in Lebanon. Very young, he had a stroke that made him aphasic. Already an accomplished musician, he overcomes his aphasia and was able to resume his bass guitar and continues to learn jazz. Soon, he became an accomplished musician, he plays jazz in various bands in New York and Canada. He published a book in 1999 on jazz improvisation in the company of Carol Kaye.

Mario discovers the painting in 2005 during his visit to the Lucie Bruneau Rehabilitation Centre, he has a passion for this art. He participates in group and individual projects and has several exhibitions in Montreal. He took lessons with Normand Jolicoeur and devoted himself increasingly to painting as a subject while using his first love: jazz music.
