  Muriel Philippe
Painter

Muriel Philippe, born in Port-au-Prince in Haiti, manifested since her childhood, her passion for drawing and painting. She initiated her first contact under the supervision of the artist Tiga Garoutte, participating in summer camps'' Poto Mitan''. From 1972 to 1984, she took classes with Sister Marguerite d'Youville, religious of the Congregation of St. Anne.

Painting is silent poetry for her but vibrant, through which she expresses her feelings and most profound internal vibrations. Her paintings reflect her visions and perceptions of certain aspects of life in a surreal style of its own and this, since the 1980s. Her creativity is spontaneous and thoughtless.

She is attracted by everything related to nature, spirituality, surrealism and abstract. Clinical nurse by profession, she firmly believes that sharing positive (philosophies, thoughts and life experiences ...) with those that we encounter in our daily lives can only be beneficial and promote the improvement and development. Thus, we have the inner satisfaction of having done something great.

After dropping her brush, for 26 years, because of work and family, she decided after a car accident to get back to her passion. In October 2011, she took painting classes at the studio of master painter Khalil Antoniadis who also encouraged her to join the group of Reminiscences’ Artists. She is a member since April 20, 2012.
