Magalie Luly
Painter

From her childhood, the painter Magalie Luly was already engaged in her favorite pastime, which was then drawing. At the age of eight, her professors emphasized her excellence in art and exhibited her works on the walls of the school. One of her drawings was chosen (from thousands of children's drawings throughout Québec) by UNICEF, to be exhibited at the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts at the international exhibition celebrating the International Year of the Child In 1980. While she was only in Secondary I, she won the first prize in a drawing contest open to all students of her school. It was an awakening!

A few years later, she took courses in acrylic painting that left her unsatisfied. So she preferred to follow her path alone as an autodidact in oil painter. She became a member of the Cercle des Artistes-Painters and Sculptors of Quebec. She is very much invited to exhibit her works in Montreal, Laval and abroad: Laval Tourist Office, Spectra Design Fair in Ville St-Laurent, Center for Arts and Culture in Pointe-à-Pitre - Guadeloupe, the Regional Museum of Kolin - Czech Republic etc ...

She is a multidisciplinary artist. It uses as medium, acrylic, oil, mixed-medium and pyrography. She is currently attending a painting course in order to perfect herself.
